Hazmat Shipping Just Got Smarter in Freightview

To help simplify the process and improve accuracy, we've expanded Freightview's hazmat capabilities with new fields, automated verification, and enhanced shipment details.

More Complete Hazardous Material Information

With this enhancement, you can now provide additional information required by many carriers and shipping regulations, including:

• Proper Shipping Name
• Technical Name (when applicable)

These dedicated fields help ensure your shipment information is more complete and aligned with DOT requirements.

Live Hazmat Verification

We've enhanced our hazardous shipping for LTL & TL by pulling in the full list of hazardous commodities from the US DOT list, as contained in Title 49 of the US Code of Federal Regulations.

Proper shipping name: or UN/NA number to automatically populate most key hazardous fields.

Technical name: Required only when prompted by the DOT.  For more information, refer to your product's MSDS Sheets.

Additional Hazmat Designations

Freightview now supports several additional hazmat indicators and shipment qualifiers through simple toggle selections, including:

• Reportable Quantity (RQ)
• Residue Last Contained
• Limited Quantity
• Marine Pollutant
