Truckload: Contracted Rates

This feature lets you upload contracted truckload rates and compare them directly with your spot quote bids. From there, you can award and book shipments quickly & easily.

Adding Contracted Rates

• Full Access users will click their name in the upper right-hand corner of any Freightview screen to access the Settings. From here, select Contracted Rates about halfway down on the left:

• Select + Add contracted rates to upload pricing using the CSV spreadsheet or individual lane/contract.

• When creating/uploading your rates, you can select from four types of contracted rates: Postal code to postal code, Postal code to Range, Postal code to state, and State to state.
• Another option to select is the Minimum rate; this will be applied if the rate type is per mile and the total doesn't meet the minimum.
  

• We also offer an example.csv of the format needed to complete the uploaded rates option.

Additional Points

• A rate will only return if the pickup date falls within the contract's date range.
• When “Fuel incl.” is set to “Yes,” the fuel price is assumed to be included in the total.
• You can search your contracted rates across all carriers at once and sort the contracts by invalid/expired.
• You can search by Contract #, Origin, or Destination.
• Preview your contracted rates file and/or make edits before completing the upload.
• Select the carrier from your drop-down menu to add accessorials.

Accessorial Options

You can also add accessorial costs to your Truckload contracted rates on a per-carrier basis. Each time you select one of your set accessorials on the Truckload quote screen, your contracted rate will also reflect the accessorial cost as part of your total price.

Enter a quote with the matching contract criteria to see your rates in action.

Here’s how it'll look on the rates page: If you're ready to select a carrier, click the box to the left of the carrier, and then Award selected carrier to begin the booking process.
