Mixed Commodity Shipping

Freightview is excited to introduce Mixed Commodity rating, which provides a more accurate way to rate and book combined-packaged shipments on our platform.

You can build a single pallet with multiple product types and classes, ensuring your shipment details are reflected correctly — including on your Bill of Lading (BOL) and labels.

The Mixed Commodity feature helps you

• Include multiple products under a single pallet or handling unit.
• Enter unique freight classes & individual NMFC numbers for each product.
• Receive an accurate rating.
• Assign hazardous material information by product.
• Reduce the need for special instructions or manual notes.
• Improve BOL and shipment label accuracy.

How It Works

Once enabled by us, select Multi-commodity handling unit(s) on the Quote page.

You can specify for each unit: Commodity, NMFC, Class, Weight, Packaging, Quantity, and Hazmat.

Detailed Hazmat Information

After running the quote and selecting a rate/provider, you can edit the UN number and other details before booking.
