The parcel product catalog is a large piece of the rollout-- and since it is a lot of information, it seemed worthy that it get a separate blog post to explain how it works.
You will access your product catalog for parcel just like you do for your LTL rates. We will start by going to your settings page. To get here you will simply click your name in the top right hand corner.
From here you will find and click “Product catalog” on the left hand side.
You can toggle between your LTL and parcel products.
Let’s go through the top headers one by one. First you’ll see “Add Parcel product.” This one is pretty self explanatory-- this is how you add products to your parcel catalog.
The only information that is required to add something to your catalog is a description of the product as well as the packaging.
Similarly to your LTL product catalog, you can lock down certain fields using the little check box next to each field.
Let’s move on to the next heading-- “Parcel settings.”
This setting allows you to choose which fields will be auto-filled when selected a Freightview generated product from your catalog. If you don’t want Freightview to save products as you go simply go to your app settings and adjust here:
Lastly, you will see the option to “Delete all Parcel.” Pushing this button will clear out all of the saved items in your parcel product catalog. We will prompt you with a pop up asking if you’re sure before we wipe it.
